Hey Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm pleased to announced that we raised OVER $700 this year, for a GRAND TOTAL of $776.92! I think Eve will be able to buy her Wii system now. Hooray for the seniors at Jordan's behavioral unit! Great game PNG!!! Congrats to EVERYONE for making this such a successful and fun event! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for supporting such a worthy cause. "One in five Americans experienced some sort of mental illness in 2010, according to a new report from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. About 5 percent of Americans have suffered from such severe mental illness that it interfered with day-to-day school, work or family." http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/health/2012/01/19/1-in-5-americans-suffer-from-mental-illness/ We have done some good! :) Next year's game is May 29th at 5pm. Congrats to PNG, Plymouth Networking Group! They creamed the BNG, Bristol Networking Group, in a fun game of softball! Both teams created awareness for mental health during the month of May, Mental Health Awareness Month, by participating in the game and asking players and businesses to donate money for the cause. http://5score.weebly.com/may-30th-game.html Cheers, Randy And if you want to get an early start for next year, it will be Thursday, May 29th at 5pm. Put it in your calenders! It's going to be a tie breaking year!!! :) Getting ready to play ball? Click on the May 30th tab and buy your shirt and logo. It's easy. And boy will we have fun! Invite your friends and family, too! This is a charity game, it's not just for professionals. The more that want to get involved, the bigger the pot will be for the mental health facility that wins. Yea!!! :) Any questions, just give me a call. Randy, the Transitions Coordinator for CAREtenders. Yes, we also have psych nurses available to come to the home. Cell: 781-635-5414 or the office at 781-356-7400. That's right! You all know her. Please welcome L'Oren Rogerson to her newest title of Co-President of 5 Score and So Much More's networking group for people working with the senior population. I've been so lucky to be able to work with L'Oren and grow a friendship based on trust and mutual high standards when it comes to work and ethics...ok, not to mention we both know how to have a good time, too!! We love to meet people and make friends. We love to work. We love to dance. We love to eat. We love 5 Score meetings! So I thought, hey, why not make L'Oren my co-President. And being President, I did. Voila. I'm so excited to share my role equally with L'Oren. So now, if any of you want information or would like to make a comment, suggest an idea, or host an event, feel free to call either one of us. L'Oren is the marketing expert and screener for Longmeadow of Taunton. Her # is 617-967-7111. :) CAREtenders in Braintree has a new Transitions Coordinator. Guess who? Yep! Good guess! That'd be me! Randy Veraguas. So, I want to thank you all again for the referrals to Morton Hospital's Elder Behavioral Health Services unit, and I'd like to now ask you to please consider using CAREtenders when you need to find a VNA (Visiting Nurse Association) to take care of your loved one.
